My Hidden Lisbon List 🤍

The spots I actually send my friends to. Save it for your trip.

Hiii! So you commented and here it is — my real, no-tourist-traps list of Lisbon. These are the rooftops, beaches, and little corners I genuinely love. Go slow, order the bica, and tell me which one you hit first. xx Jen

🌇 Rooftops & views

Golden hour in Lisbon is a religion. These are where I go.

Park — Bairro Alto

A rooftop bar hidden on top of a parking garage. Take the elevator up, no one tells you it's there.

Go before 7pm for the sunset over the bridge.

Miradouro da Senhora do Monte

The highest viewpoint in the city and way calmer than the famous ones. Bring a bottle of wine.

Sunset here > the crowded Graça viewpoint next door.

Miradouro de Santa Catarina

Local, lived-in, guitar-and-beer energy at dusk facing the river.

🌿 Secret green + café corners

Estufa Fria

A dreamy greenhouse garden in Parque Eduardo VII most tourists walk right past.

Jardim do Torel

A tiny hillside garden with a view, a kiosk café, and zero crowds.

LX Factory

Old industrial complex full of cafés, shops and the gorgeous Ler Devagar bookstore. Best on Sunday.

🏖️ Beaches worth the trip

Costa da Caparica

Long golden beaches 20 min from the city. Take the ferry to Cacilhas then a bus/the little train.

Praia da Ribeira do Cavalo — Sesimbra

Turquoise hidden cove you hike down to. Feels like the tropics, an hour south.

Wear real shoes for the trail down.

🍽️ Where I actually eat

Manteigaria

The best pastel de nata in the city — skip the Belém queue, this is better and everywhere.

Cervejaria Ramiro

Legendary seafood. Go early or expect a wait — worth it. Finish with the steak sandwich.

Any tasca with a paper tablecloth

Lunch of the day for a few euros. If it's full of Portuguese people, sit down.

🍷 A drink with character

Pensão Amor — Cais do Sodré

A former brothel turned gorgeous, cheeky cocktail bar. An experience, not just a drink.

Pavilhão Chinês

An eccentric old bar crammed floor-to-ceiling with curiosities. Order a gin.
